These wooden pitchers are hand carved by the Shi people from the Eastern part of the Democratic Republic of Congo and date back to the early 20th century which gives them their beautiful patina. They were used to serve wine or beer in ceremonies.
This item will show some imperfections consistent with use and age which add to it’s beauty and are not considered as flaws.
